Privacy Policy for Packwork

Efe Mesudiyeli ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Packwork mobile application (the "App"). This page explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account (Sign in with Apple)
The App uses Sign in with Apple as its only sign-in method. This gives us your Apple-generated user identifier and, only on your first sign-in, the name you choose to share. We use this to identify your account and enable iCloud sync across your devices.

Local & iCloud Data
Your trips, luggage, packing items, and presets are stored locally on your device using SwiftData, and privately synced to your own iCloud account via CloudKit so your data is available across your devices. This data is never stored on servers we operate.

Usage Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, an EU-hosted analytics service, to understand how the App is used (e.g. trip creation, item packing, feature usage, and subscription status) so we can improve it. Events are associated with an anonymous subscription identifier rather than your name or Apple ID.

Weather Data
When you type a trip destination, that text is sent to OpenWeather to fetch a forecast for your trip. The App does not request or use your device's precise GPS location.

Subscriptions & Purchases (RevenueCat)
We use RevenueCat to manage the "Packwork Pro" subscription and validate your purchase status across devices. All payments are handled directly by Apple through your Apple ID — we never see or store your payment information.

2. What We Don't Collect
The App does not access your camera, photo library, contacts, or calendar, and does not request your device location. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not use crash-reporting or tracking SDKs beyond the analytics described above.

3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

- Apple — sign-in, payments, and iCloud data storage: Apple Privacy Policy

4. Notifications
Packing and trip reminders are scheduled locally on your device. The App does not use a push notification server, and no notification content is sent to us or any third party.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your trips, presets, and other packing data from your device and signs you out. Data previously synced to your personal iCloud account follows the lifecycle of your Apple ID and iCloud settings.

6. Security
Since your data is stored locally on your device and privately synced to your own iCloud account, its security depends on your Apple ID security and your device passcode or biometrics. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 4. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 4.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
